Who is Shevonia Thompson?
My name is Shevonia Thompson. I am a sophomore with a pre-major in Information Technology at the University of North Texas in Denton,Texas. The purpose of this site is to showcase my various works that I have done over the years.
Now a little bit about me........
I was raised in the city of Greenville, Mississippi. Growing up I was active in the Church and was less active in the school. A quiet, polite and sometimes odd child with little to no friends. I always found myself looking for outlets though various means. Whether it was through Writing, Reading or Music. It was an escape for a lonely child.
In the early nineties I received my first Nintendo it was giving to me as a gift from my mom. I didn't know at the time that this experience will set me on a path to learning more about technology. As my Increased love for game consoles grew my interest in other facets of the Technological world started to become my interest. Through my middle school years and High school years I was placed in courses that was geared towards understanding Technology and how it works throughout life. I learned everything from typing to doing credits for a newscast. The final two years of High School I was enrolled at The Greenville Vocational Center where I received my certificate Business and Computer Technology. At the completion of my final year I joined the military where I served on The USS Stump DD-978 for four years. I was in the Military active/inactive reserve for a total of eight years. After receiving my honorable discharge from The United State Navy. I continued to work gaining experience in the Health care industry and Costumer Service. In the fall of 2009 begin my enrollment at The University of North Texas where I planned to get a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Business Administration.
